From the clubs to the gathering around the fire
From the urban swag to the traditional attire
From the zoos to the largest wild animal kingdom
From the hip hop tunes to the songs of freedom
From the universities to the village elders’ wisdom
From the streetlights in the city to the glowing fireflies
Showers of happiness when I stand under the blue skies
From the traffic jam to the village where I freely run
From the rising and the setting of the sun
With a spear and a shield to the jungle I return
From the modern prints to the cave art
I paint a picture from the depths of my heart
Natural springs and the greenness of nature
The lady dancers and the warriors with great stature
Ask Kuki Gallmann, she dreamt of Africa
Ask her about Mama Africa and her kindness
For the first time she felt the stillness.
The stillness of a lion that knows his strength
And saw the nature’s beauty crafted at length
Oh Africa, my home, my mother land
I love Africa, I love Kenya
