Broken Promises

Smiling, looking me in the eyes, she told me,
"I will beautify your sight
I will be the stars in your dark sky

I will be the air we breath in our tiny world of

to dance
I will show you the blue pearl when you go into

...when you hit the stone wall.

cold days
I will be your shed, shelter you from the hot sun

"So will I " I told her
Two years later...
She looked me in the eyes and said goodbye
That fateful evening
when the gates of hell were opening
And the door of love was closing
Pain and hatred creeping in
Line between love and hate was so thin
"Honey, why are you leaving me? babe, Why?!

She was the one setting us apart
she was drilling a hole through my heart

The next thing she saw was my pic in the obituary
