I wonder
what you would say
If I told
you why I was crying
I wonder if
you would stay
If I told
you I was lying
When I told
you I was fine
But I was
really hurting
Sweat of
fear down my spine
Tears of
guilt cloud my eyes
Clouds of
regret fill the skies
The dark
sky is no limit
To the pain
I feel inside
The truth
crushes my spirit
But from
it, no more I can hide
I promised
you golden wings
And told
you to the moon we will fly
I promised
you expensive things
Everything
i knew money can buy
I promised
you a rainbow crown
And a king
size diamond ring
I promised
you Armani prive' gown
And a
silver platter dinner with the king
I told you
you’ll be my queen
Am sorry
for tricking you into loving me
For with a
better man you’d rather be
I can not
afford all the precious things I promised you
Poverty is
a word you never knew
In my case, it is like hair on super glue
But it
wouldn’t matter if your love is true
For better,
for worse, for richer, for poorer…
Please tell
me if you will still say, “Yes I do”
